Two young people are running through a glorious field of vivid yellow glowers. As the couple run toward each other, arms outstretched the soft breeze gently ripples the flowers, gathering up its shimmering pollen dust and dropping it on them like a silken waterfall. They stop, seemingly caught up in the sight of each other, arms embrace away.
Suddenly they throw their heads back and erupt with ferocious sneezes. Eyes watering and red-rimmed, they gasp for breath, falling in a heap among nature's glory. Another precious moment destroyed by allergies.
Those of us fortunate enough not to suffer from hay fever sympathize with the red eyes, stuffy noses and omnipresent tissues our friends have to deal with during the pollen season. We thank the Lord we are fortunate enough not to have this problem.
When it comes to allergies, it's often what you don't know that hurts you. You don't need a doctor to tell you you have allergies. Just look for these signs. Black circles under the eyes can indicate a food allergy, as can multiple horizontal wrinkles under the lower eyelid cause by allergic swelling.
Do you salute without knowing it? A telltale sign is the allergic salute-rubbing an itchy nose. A scalloped tongue results when allergies cause itching and the individual scratches his or her tongue against the teeth. An over three pound weight gain from morning to evening can indicate a food allergy. Take milk, for example. The body says, Hey! What's this cow doing here?! We'd better hold water in every cell to wash out the foreign invader. Then you gain three to five pounds of water and get symptoms like a runny nose, sneezing, and wheezing and itchy eyes. _________________ hgh supplements |
